How to hide content for some languages (workaround)

Linguana is designed to translate all text on all pages to different languages. However, if you desire to hide some content (e.g. new articles or blog posts) for one language, there is a workaround to achieve this result.

  1. Add the language switcher to your Webflow or Framer footer (if not done already)

  2. Select the language that you'd like to hide content for first

  3. Update your live website temporarily on Webflow or Framer in your original language to hide all the content you don't want to show in your selected language

  4. Sync your selected language on Linguana (the hidden content should no longer be shown for this language on Linguana)

  5. Enter your translations for your selected language

  6. Publish your selected language

  7. Repeat steps 2-6 for all languages you wish to hide content for

  8. Add back all content for your live website on Webflow or Framer

Note: As long as you don't re-publish any of your languages, the content will remain hidden. Keep in mind that if you would like to update your site for any language, you'll to repeat this process for the hidden content to remain hidden. For this reason, this is not a viable workaround for websites that have frequent updates.
